  • December Activity Bags available!
    Get the next seasonal activity bag here! Reusable bag packed full of winter fun crafts and experiments!  Bags will be available for pickup Starting December 1st.  Pick up is Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:30 PM at the Onondaga Parks and Recreation office at 4834 Velasko Rd.

  • Winter Wreath Contest
    Submit your hand-crafted holiday door decor or wreath and be entered to win a $25 voucher for our town programs.
    Snap a picture of your wreath or door ornamentation and email the picture to toorecreation@msn.com by December 31st. Winners will be chosen after the new year.

  • Send your Letters to Santa!

    Are you trying to send a letter to Santa to make sure you’re not on the naughty list?  Well lucky for you, the Town of Onondaga Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the North Pole to make sure all Santa’s important mail gets to him before the big day!  All you need to do is write your letter to Santa, have your parents deliver it to us, and we’ll take care of the rest!  Make sure you include a return address so Santa can write back to you!  You can write a custom letter or use the back of this flyer with a “Letter to Santa” template.  Just make sure you get your letter in by December 18th so it gets there in time!!!

    Directions:
    Complete a letter and place in a sealed envelope.  Mail or drop off form to:

    If dropping off between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri, you can hand the letter off at the door by the turn around at the front of the building.  If you are dropping off on the weekend or after hours, please drop it in the letter box under the vestibule, located near the large garage doors.

    Get your craft on with our seasonal activity bags!
    This month's bag is packed with a variety of fall themed crafts for the kiddos, and even has ingredients and a recipe for simple cranberry muffins (great to bring to Thanksgiving Dinner!).  Get yours on our website and pick them up at the Recreation office on Velasko Rd., 9:00-4:30, Mon.-Fri.

The Town of Onondaga Parks & Recreation Department will be responsible for providing quality facilities, grounds, programs, and leisure services to all residents of the Town of Onondaga. We will strive to provide the highest quality programs and facilities through strong, imaginative and caring leadership.

ALL REGISTRATION IS NOW ONLINE!

We are proud to provide you with our activity registration system and website. To get started please Create an Account with all your household information and include all members of your immediate family. The data provided - emergency contacts, medical information, etc. - will help us better serve you. This info will also be automatically placed into your registration forms.

When you’re ready to start registering for activities, be sure to review the How to Register for an Activity page.

Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis.  Non-residents pay $10.00 more for most programs.

A $10 fee is added to most programs 1 week before the program begins.

Registration deadline (unless otherwise specified) for all programs is one week before the program begins. A late fee of $10.00 will be added to the program fee when registering after the deadline.

Don’t wait for deadlines. Program may be canceled if minimum not reached.

It is the intention of the Town that no youth be denied the ability to participate in programs because of an inability to pay. Partial scholarships are available for youth programs to eligible families upon proof of income.
