We are sad to report that the Town of Onondaga has made the difficult decision to cancel all children's programs this summer. This was a very hard decision with many factors to consider. The largest being the health and safety of our participants and their families. We have rolled out a virtual recreation center full of fun activities to do with your families and finding other ways to play while we can't be together this summer.

We kindly ask the public to refrain from using the playground equipment at our parks. We understand that the parks may be one of the only outlets for many of us at this time so we want to keep them open, however to ensure you family's health, we have closed all playground equipment until further notice. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not taking any pavilion reservations either.

Welcome to the Town of Onondaga Parks and Recreation

The Town of Onondaga Parks & Recreation Department will be responsible for providing quality facilities, grounds, programs, and leisure services to all residents of the Town of Onondaga. We will strive to provide the highest quality programs and facilities through strong, imaginative and caring leadership.

We are proud to provide you with our activity registration system and website. To get started please Create an Account with all your household information and include all members of your immediate family. The data provided - emergency contacts, medical information, etc. - will help us better serve you. This info will also be automatically placed into your registration forms.

When you’re ready to start registering for activities, be sure to review the How to Register for an Activity page.

Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis.  Non-residents pay $10.00 more for most programs.

A $10 fee is added to most programs 1 week before the program begins.

Registration deadline (unless otherwise specified) for all programs is one week before the program begins. A late fee of $10.00 will be added to the program fee when registering after the deadline.

Don’t wait for deadlines. Program may be canceled if minimum not reached.

It is the intention of the Town that no youth be denied the ability to participate in programs because of an inability to pay. Partial scholarships are available for youth programs to eligible families upon proof of income.

Parking and entrances on both Velasko Road and East Avenue.
